Umhlanga Fishing Festival 2023

The SMG Yamaha team recently cast out their lines along with 200 other anglers in the much anticipated 2023 Umhlanga Fishing Festival hosted by Umhlanga Ski Boat Club.

Team SMG Yamaha’s 15-year-old Matthew Shepard snagged first place, catching an impressive 24.92kg Couta on the first day of the competition, winning prizes to the value of over R150 000.

The boat of choice for the SMG Yamaha team was the new SMG Yamaha Carrycat 620, powered by a pair of Yamaha F100s.
