With extensive interior, engine, drivetrain and handling enhancements, the Hilux GR Sport is another Toyota product worthy of the GR name.
Starting off with the exterior, Hilux GR-S gets the Gazoo Racing inspired black front grille, with bold badges showing the GR Sport name. The exterior enhancements are also seen in the LED headlights and the vertically-stacked air ducts. This is certainly not a modest looking vehicle.
But it’s under the hood where the GR-Sport announces it’s heritage the loudest. With a 15kW increase in power taking it to 165kW and torque ramped up by 50 Nm to a peak of 550 Nm.
But what’s more power without suspension enhancements as well? Hilux GR Sport features new monotone shock absorbers paired with stiffer coil springs that deliver improved high-speed stability and handling and responses. Add to this the bespoke 17” alloy wheels in a Titanium finish with a taller tyre profile and you have a capable off-road machine.
