Never happy to rest on their laurels, SMG Toyota Hillcrest was acknowledged at the Toyota SA 2021 Dealer of the Year awards with a host of awards and recognition for their outstanding commitment to service excellence.
Most significant for this passionate team, was winning the Vice President’s Award for Customer Experience in the Mega Category. This win, which is their 10th in the last 12 years, shows the dealership’s consistency when it comes to the customer journey, and acknowledges incredible staff commitment and leadership.
Dealer Principle, Warren Demmer, who accepted the award for the dealership said “As a dealership, we are extremely humbled by the continued support of our customers as well as our team of amazing staff who practice the SMG principles of ‘customer first’ every day.”
But the recognition didn’t stop there, with a host of team members winning individual awards for outstanding customer service. Notable among these was Service Manager, Elsa Mollentze who won the Customer Service award in the Mega Category, as well as the dealership winning Pyramid of Excellence certificates for Vehicle Sales, Automark, Toyota Financial Services and Lighthouse.
And more accolades were to come at the recent Toyota Knights awards in Cape Town. At this prestigious event, 10 SMG Toyota Staff members were knighted, and numerous awards given to existing Knights who excelled during 2021. General Manager, Angela Willis was awarded the Toyota Sales Manager of the year award, with Jonathan Rudd been awarded 1st runner up to Automark Sales Manager of the Year. Gregg Coutts was also awarded Automark Customer Experience Knight of the Year as well as 2nd runner up to the Automark Sales Executive of the Year.
